This is a delightful book that teaches deep concepts in a wonderfully warm and often humorous way. Would make a great Sunday School series - especially for February and Valentines Day.
This book is very entertaining as well as educational. It proved to be an enjoyable way to view the Old Testament because of the Biblical characters coming to life. The author's use of humor and knowledge is evident and applicable to today's situations.
This is a wonderfl book. We are generally aware of the couples and situations the author writes about, however the author brings in so many other points and historical facts that make the stories enjoyable. Also the author uses humor through out to make points. Great book.
Rev Duncan really knows how to weave a story while staying with the truth, which seems to be so difficult with most contempory writers.
I gave the book a four star ratting because it really spoke to me. As I read the love stories I never knew what little unexpected, out of the ordenary tid-bit about the story was going to pop up next as well as things that would help sermons come alive and really speak to the reader about God's love for man and just how deep His love is. Ministers and Bible teachers would do well to read this book
LOVE this book! I happen to know King. It's like I am sitting in his class again enjoying his wonderful insight into the stories of the Bible. His style of writing is so easy to absorb...peppered with great asides and humor. Would be a great addition to any Bible study class. Also great for someone who hesitates to tackle those great Bible stories on their own!
This is another wonderful book from King Duncan. The chapters are short and can stand alone but he ties all the "love" stories together as the book progresses. He can relate the biblical characters in both humorous and serious ways to modern day folks because we have the same issues. He reassures us that the God who sought these imperfect people is seeking to us to further his Kingdom. God's love is real and truly Great!
